About Femi

Created by Femi Olasupo (aka me), this here website was forged in the fires of Mordor...and healing from that traumatic experience left me with 8 fingers and a whole bunch of wisdom that I love sharing with strangers.

Ok, maybe it wasn't Mordor. Maybe it was actually my diverse professional background in life coaching, marketing, customer service, writing, and various emotional wellness modalities, plus an obsessive willingness to sit with uncomfortable emotions so I can learn life’s lessons. But Mordor sounds more exciting.

I have done and continue to do a lot of stuff! I've lived abroad for several years in Santiago, Chile, I come from a multicultural family, and I take extensive frolics around the world (18 countries and counting). I love diversity of cultures, perspectives, and food. I am even teaching myself to paint so I can train my brain to sit still and be quiet.

My journey has inspired me to follow every single dream that's in my big heart and that's how I got here: becoming an author of books aimed at children and adults, all centered on themes of resilience, awareness, compassion, connection, and navigating complex inner experiences in healthy ways.

Side note: I currently have all 10 fingers.

Powerlifting Cat Mom

As someone who says YES! to just about every opportunity that comes my way, even if I'm shaking in my boots, I proudly delivered a TEDx Talk on Compassionate Leadership in March of 2024. (Click the underlined part to have a watch.)

I enjoy learning, trying new things, being unqualified until I'm overqualified, and charging like a wild stallion at life.

I live in the Dallas, Texas area. I am obsessed with the Scottish Highlands (sooooooo beautiful!), and by the time 2025 is over I will have published 4 books.

My biological cat's name is Thor. I belong to the rare group of Americans who still drive stick shift and I have successfully lifted over 300 lbs in a powerlifting competition (303 to be exact, but hey it still counts!)

I believe this world doesn't need more high achievers with gigantic bank accounts. The world needs more individuals with the ability to transform their pain into compassion and leverage their experiences for the service and support of others. The wonderful this is, we can be both!
